01 — Prep
The 48-hour checklist.
Do
- Let hair grow to about 1/4 inch (a grain of rice)
- Exfoliate gently 24 hours before
- Take a warm shower beforehand — relaxes the follicle
- Wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment
- Mention any sensitive skin or product allergies
Don't
- Don't shave for 2–3 weeks before your appointment
- Avoid retinoids or AHAs for 48 hours prior
- Skip caffeine the morning of (it heightens sensitivity)
- Don't book during the first 2 days of your period
- Avoid hot tubs / saunas for 24 hours after
02 — The timeline
From two weeks out to four weeks after.

03 — Real talk
So… does it actually hurt?
Less than you've been told. We use premium hard wax that grips hair, not skin — so the sting you'd get from a strip wax just isn't part of the experience. Most first-timers describe it as a quick warm tug that lasts a fraction of a second per pull.
The first appointment is the most sensitive. By appointment three, hair grows back finer and the whole thing feels like a 15-minute errand. Truly.
